OnBoard4Jobs Construction Careers is a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) initiative to help contractors recruit capable workers for roadway construction jobs. This includes hiring workers who qualify for On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs.
With the ever growing need for construction workers; we want to help. The program provides opportunities to unemployed adults as well as students who are preparing to graduate to secure jobs with industry leading contractors. This program is designed to assist contractors in the hiring process and to increase the number of minorities and females on federal and state funded road building contracts.
So how does it work?
- Simply register to be a preferred contractor by completing an enrollment form
- Identify projects that have a need for workers
- Identify project On-the-Job Training requirements and goals
- Contact us about job openings
- We will provide you potential hires

All we ask is you advise us when you contact a perspective candidate from this program. If you hire them GREAT! For program tracking, we ask you to provide us with the worker’s name, ethnicity, gender and project assigned.
